
About World Mathematics Invitational
World Mathematics Invitational (WMI) was founded by Mr. Kun-Lung Tsai, the chairman of Chinese Mathematics Association in 2013.
WMI is an international competition which works as a platform for organizations that promote math to interact with one another. WMI has gathered organizations from America, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Macao, and Iran that give impetus to math education and popularization.The new friends from Bulgaria, India, Kazakhstan, Cambodia and Myanmar participate WMI in 2018. Australia, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, Mongolia and Laos participate WMI in 2019.
Registration Details
WMI Preliminary Round
For: Kindergarten to Grade 12 (as of academic year 2020-21)
Where: Online from home (not from an examination Centre). On desktop/laptop only with webcam for remote proctoring.
When: Last couple of weekends over March.
Registrations are Open Now.
Last Date of Registration: 28th Feb, 2021.
Fees: INR 700 per participant (student).

WMI Final Round
For: Kindergarten to Grade 12 (as of academic year 2020-21) Award Winners.
Where: To be decided later based on pandemic situation.
When: Early August , 2021
Registrations will open in mid- June 2021 after result for eligible students who will be notified by email with registration link.
Last Date of Registration: TBA later (June end / Early July 2021).
Global Olympiads Academy invites students and schools from India only to register.
Fees:
- INR 700 per student. Discounts available on multiple competitions or multiple entries.

Awards & Qualifications
WMI Preliminary Round (Local Trial Round)
Awarding:
- Gold: Top 5% of students in each group
- Silver: Next 15% of students in each group
- Bronze: Next 20% of students in each group
- Merit: Next 20% of students in each group
* The exact awarding percentage will be slightly adjusted if some of the students are getting same marks.
Only WMI Preliminary Round award (Gold, Silver & Bronze only) winners will be eligible to apply for WMI Final Round.
WMI Final Round (Global Round)
Awarding:
- Diamond: Top 3% of students in each group
- Gold: Next 12% of students in each group
- Silver: Next 25% of students in each group
- Bronze: Next 30% of students in each group
- Merit: Next 30% of students in each group
- The star of the World: The 1st student in each group
- Legend award: The Student who won gold or diamond medals for three successive years in WMI.
* The exact awarding percentage will be slightly adjusted if some of the students are getting same marks. Students born later will be given the preference for awards when they have the same scores.
