It is the mission of AIMO Union to provide teenagers with an international platform for the purposes of learning Mathematics, cultural exchange, intriguing their mathematical insights, improving their qualities of scientific thinking minds and hence enhancing the friendship and cooperation of teenagers from different countries/regions.

Since 2012, we have been holding AIMO Open together with worldwide top mathematical institutions. For the last years, AIMO Open has been successfully concluded (2012 Hong Kong, 2013 Taiwan, 2014 Chengdu, China, 2015 Thailand, 2016 Hong Kong, 2017 Malaysia, 2018 Thailand, 2019 Taiwan, 2020 & 2021 Online due to pandemic). The number of students participating in AIMO Open keeps increasing.

In the recent years, happy learning and diversity learning are emphasized. In order to further present the beauty of Mathematics to different students and stimulate their interests in Mathematics, AIMO Union has established World Mathematics Games Open which can provide a professional platform for all students to learn Mathematics by playing. Through playing different kinds of Mathematics games, different cognitive learning skills such as shape, logic, space and numbers can be developed. Students with higher reading ability get benefit in traditional Mathematics teaching, but all talented students with different strengths can explore their mathematical potential through playing Mathematics games. Through both AIMO Open (Finals) and WMGO, AIMO Union is willing to scout for more Mathematics talents and further promote quality Mathematics education.
