ABOUT WMI
WMI is an international competition which works as a platform for organizations that promote math to interact with one another. WMI has gathered organizations from America, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Macao, and Iran that give impetus to math education and popularization.The new friends from Bulgaria, India, Kazakhstan, Cambodia and Myanmar participate WMI in 2018. Australia, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, Mongolia and Laos participate WMI in 2019.
Students who qualify for WMI Finals can also participate in WMI Mini Math Creative Competition (MMCC) that encourages students to convey math in different ways of thinking through the things in our daily lives, such as art, music, architecture, sports, etc. Students from Grade 3 to Grade 12 who participate in WMI finals. Students who participate (optional for finalists) in MMCC are required to make creative videos about real life application of mathematical concepts.

Online from home (not from an examination Centre). On desktop/laptop only with webcam for remote proctoring.

Competition Date: March 30-31, 2024
**Flexibility of appearing in any of the 4 time slots (Morning and evening) across the two days **
Registrations are Open Now for WMI Preliminary Round (Country Level Round). Online Registrations Only.
Last Date of Registration: March 10, 2024.
Fees: INR 1200 per participant (student).
Fees include: Access to some past papers and answer keys as downloadable soft copies.
Online exam login credentials, schedule and exam instructions will be provided by email after registrations close one week before the exam.
Registration through G.O.A. is open only for students in India or Indian students with a valid Indian address.
Students who get Gold/Silver/Bronze honours can then apply for WMI Finals held in a different country by paying an additional registration fee.
- You will receive some past papers access with answer keys on registration for many Olympiads. This will be assigned as a course to you under the “My Courses” section of this website when you login to you account.

WMI Preliminary Round

- Bronze: Next 20% of students in each group

* The exact awarding percentage will be slightly adjusted if some of the students are getting same marks.
Only WMI Preliminary Round award (Gold, Silver & Bronze only) winners will be eligible to apply for WMI Final Round.
For Preliminary round only e-certificates will be sent. There are no medals.
Please note that all expenses and fees for WMI Finals has to be borne by students/parents which will be notified to them once registration opens for WMI Finals for eligible students.
Please treat WMI Preliminary and WMI Finals as separate competitions. Students eligible for Finals who do not register for Finals will still receive their WMI Preliminary awards.
WMI Final Round
(Final Global Round)
- Diamond: Top 3% of students in each group
- Gold: Next 12% of students in each group
- Silver: Next 25% of students in each group
- Bronze: Next 30% of students in each group
- Merit: Next 30% of students in each group
- The star of the World: The 1st student in each group
- Legend award: The Student who won gold or diamond medals for three successive years in WMI.
* The exact awarding percentage will be slightly adjusted if some of the students are getting same marks. Students born later will be given the preference for awards when they have the same scores.

Global Olympiads Academy brings a Math Enrichment program for younger kids (grade 1 to grade 8) for International Olympiads (GJMOC, GJMAT, AIMO, TIMO, WMI, HKIMO, HKICO, HKISO, SEAMO, PIMSO, etc.) The program will help the students strengthen their fundamentals, application and problem-solving skills and their overall higher order thinking skills like logical and analytical thinking. This course with Global standards (inspired by Common Core, Singapore Math and Indian NCERT curriculum) will not help students overcome fear with Math but would inculcate ownership, rigour and perseverance and most importantly liking for the Math. This will help them improve their academic performance in school and definitely in any competitive exam and lay a strong foundation for preparation of entrance exams in future.
